Ordinary AC power accessories compromise the quality of the components they power. The PowerCenter's advanced technology and innovative design solves this problem and offers several unique convenience and performance features. While your PowerCenter does an excellent job of protecting your components from harmful power surges, it's main benefit is much more than just surge protection.Monster Cable Products exclusive Clean Power filter circuitry virtually stops the noise that goes right through typical surge protectors. There is more than one type of noise that can degrade connected equipment, however. The HTS 3500 PowerCenter also features revolutionary separate noise isolation between digital, audio, and video filtered outlets. If any noise from electronic products plugged into an outlet gets through Monster Cable Clean Power noise filters and to the power line, it will have to go through another filter to get to an adjacent set of outlets. The result is high quality picture and sound that's free from performance - damaging interference.Another Monster Power breakthrough is the PowerCenter's ultra - low loss RF circuitry. While other "line conditioners" feature coaxial outlets for convenience, their insertion loss can be up to 30 DB. The PowerCenter's incredibly small insertion loss makes it ideal for all digital coaxial connections like DSS. Your PowerCenter also features an exclusive color - coding system, which identifies which component, should be plugged in where the outlet filter type (digital, ultra - high current audio, audio, and video). This way, you won't jeopardize performance by plugging in a high current component into a low current outlet or mistakenly plug a VCR into a switched outlet and be forced to reset its clock when power is interrupted. As fellow audiophiles and videophiles, Monster Cable Products designed your PowerCenter for the best possible picture and sound. Enjoy!

Summary: Great product...if you can find it cheap
Comment: However, I give only 3 stars for value. For what this unit does, it should cost $175 at the most. I have one (which I found new for $169) and use it as a power center for powering up my home theater in sequence. It has a 12 volt tigger that works well with the tigger output from my Outlaw Audio pre/pro. It does a nominal job at "cleaning up" the power - the power stages of your components (unless they were made before 1950) should do more than an adequate job of "cleaning the signal" so that should never be the selling point of one of these units.

Summary: U CAN'T GO WRONG W/ 3500 CLEAN MONSTER POWER
Comment: I purchased this product after extensive online researching and field viewing in stores such as CC and BB. I paid 137.00 in Sep 2006. Received the product NEW and fast. I use it for Samsung LCD HDTV, PS2 and HD DVD player. Also, surround sound system. I know I have clean sound and picture using the 3500. I have no complaints, it does what it is built to do. If you have high end sound and picture electronics, at least get something to protect it, recommend the 3500.

Summary: Worth it
Comment: Many people think this product is a concept looking for a problem that does not exist. They are wrong.
My 5 channel power amp used to make relatively loud noises intermittantly
but that is gone now. Less hiss too. I don't have time to tell you all of it but
its a worthwhile expenditure for your home theater.

Summary: Monster Reference PowerCenter
Comment: Visually appealing, except the center blue LED may be a bit bright to some, but I like it. The unit shows true power indication on its voltage meter that has a nice blue lit backing. Easy set-up. Provides switched and unswitched outlets. The time delay is a nice feature for providing power to your audio components, this helps eliminate the thump that can happen when powering up your A/V components together. Also provides surge protection to your cable and telephone lines.
